Well it's time to get back to work after 2 weeks on holidays. Lots more titles need to be added to our catalog, and we're also always working on finding more and better distributors to get music from. Hopefully this year sees some of the several ideas we have come to fruition.

As announced on the Comatose Rose website, Issue 13 will be their last one. No details or reasons are available yet. This is definitely a big blow for the scene in Canada, as there isn't any other comparable magazine and community out there.

Kinetic Response is now an official Canadian distributor for US-based synthpop label Nilaihah Records, home to such artists as The Azoic, Null Device, Fiction 8, Blind Faith And Envy and NamNamBulu, among others.

As promised, we keep adding more titles to our catalog. Our most recent additions are 2 releases by Spanking Machine (Evil Kitty Remixxxes and Simple Solutions To Perverted Problems). Also added 3 well-known Metropolis acts: Suicide Commando - Axis Of Evil, Hanzel Und Gretyl - Scheissmessiah and Seabound - Beyond Flatline. Finally, the re-release on A Different Drum of the excellent 2001 German release De/Vision - Two. Track 9 (Uncaring Machine) on this album is simply amazing.

Titles added to the catalog recently are 3 excellent Engelsstaub releases (Anderswelt (Surround Edition), Akashic Recordings and Ignis Fatuus: Irrlichter) - highly recommended for fans of medieval electro. Also in store is the debut release from Opaq Face, the EP Close Enough, which delivers very high quality addictive synthpop.

Kinetic Response Music and The Underground are proud to present the Attic Base CD Party, on June 11, 2004 at Walker's Nightclub (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada).
The first 25 paid admissions will get a free copy of Attic Base's latest release "Night Vision", and DJs Black Cat and Wilhelm will play selected tracks from the album throughout the night.
This event is put together to increase Kinetic Response's visibility within the scene in Saskatoon, while at the same time getting Attic Base's excellent music heard, and The Underground at Walker's offers a perfect opportunity to do all that.

We have decided to change the name to reflect our focus, which isn't first and foremost to produce records. That is still part of the plan though, and we are looking forward to starting work on our new compilation very soon. Keep checking back on the site for updates!

We the people of Attic Base are excited to announce that we are currently receiving commercial radio play on Salt Lake City's own X96 (96.3 FM). As I'm sure you all know, getting any airplay in this day and age of corporate radio stations, is an amazing feat indeed! We announce this not to brag, but to ask for your support. The more requests the DJ receives for the band, the more rotation and buzz it receives. There is still no better high, feeling, or exposure for a band than good old fashioned radio play but we need you to make a request.
If you don't know are song titles very well, you can redeem yourself by simply calling or emailing the DJ, and repeating the following: "Please play any song from that awesome electronic band, Attic Base...thank you very much". While the store is closed (and we still have a lot of great music to ), Kinetic Response is definitely not going away.
We love music. That's why we just can't let Kinetic Response die. We're considering some options for the future, including a re-launch of this site with a renewed focus. We had to make the difficult decision of shutting down KR's operations for the time being.
Due mostly to time constraints, we have decided to cease operations as of August 2003. If you have any good words for us, ideas for the future, or if you are just sorry to see us go, please , we'd love to hear from you.
In the meantime, we need to unload our stocks. Prices are slashed; for an up-to-date list of stock.
