5/5 - Modern day New Wave. That may sound like a contradiction but Attic Base is able to pull this off. They are unabashedly retro in style, harkening back to a period when New Wave was the dominant form of electronic music. Perhaps the thing that I enjoy most is the fact that when Melissa Mello sings, the songs are slightly more synth-poppy sounding. When Michael or Matt Burton sing the songs, they are more dark and moody. All in all this is a great group with a good future ahead of them.
