2009

For the past couple years, we have continued to add titles to the catalog. Contact us if there is anything you are looking for or that we should add to our ever growing list of titles.

2006

For the last year and a half, we have been busy building up our catalog, finding good suppliers, and building connections. We now have over 300 titles in the catalog, and have access to hundreds more. For the rest of this year, we plan on continuing to add more titles and find better suppliers so that we're able to offer music at the best price out there.

2004

We have a couple important projects for this year. First, we're working on our fifth release, our second compilation album. Also, following the demise of mp3.com, which was effectively shut down last December, there isn't really any central resource anymore for artists to showcase themselves and their work. So what we would like to do is create a music directory to allow artists to feature some of their work and gain exposure. This would be a huge undertaking, but we fell confident that we can take on such an ambitious project.

2003

Kinetic Response has closed its online store for the time being. This unfortunate action needed to be taken for several reasons. There are many trials and difficulties to face when you are operating an online store.

While KR's founder, Larry Berteotti, has decided to significantly reduce his involvement, I just couldn't let KR disappear. The current "time off" will be used to regain focus and prepare for 2004. Several ideas are being considered, and we look forward to get involded in the scene again in the near future.

Kinetic Response Records

2000

Kinetic Response Records has been given the privilege of supplying listeners with a very diverse and progressively complex genre of music. Electronic music has progressed a great deal since the early days of groups such as Kraftwerk, early Depeche Mode and Erasure as well as the New Romantic period groups such as Spandau Ballet.

In the early 1990's electronic music became passé and was pretty much neglected by most major record labels. Even though it publicly seemed to drop off the chart, electronic music adapted itself and became a strong influence in the independent music scene. Electronic music has reintroduced itself as a dynamic and bash musical style. It is in this arena that Kinetic Response Records now enters.

For those of you who remember the music of the 80's with fondness or for those who are just stumbling upon this brilliantly crafted music, Kinetic Response wants to be there for you. We want to supply the older listener with their favorites while perhaps introducing you to some of the new talent. For the new listener maybe we will have a chance to bestow upon you some of the music that influenced those bands you now listen to most.

Kinetic Response Records wants to deliver high quality electronic music whether Industrial, New Wave, or Synthpop. While delivering this music to listeners we also hope to give those musicians who are as of yet undiscovered, an outlet for their music. So Kinetic Response as both a label and store hope to give you an opportunity to create and listen to some of the finest music made, from yesterday and today.
